Whenever I’m performing strolling magic, I pay particular attention to people who seem to be at a loose end. However, I never single them out. I deliberately start performing to a group nearby, and when they look over (which they always do), I wave them into the group. Not only are they now part of a bigger group, but they also have something to talk about.
